Giving expression to freedom

1969: triggered by "flower-power, Woodstock and the war," a generation set off to liberate themselves from the tedium of ever day life and to make an end of the prevailing narrow-mindedness and general dreariness.

1969 is also the year in which the film "Easy Rider" comes into the cinema. It gives new expression to the yearning for freedom.

Motor bike riding becomes the embodiment of freedom; the visual configuration of the motorcycle becomes the means of expression for protest.
